A little Scare

Since im hurt I cant really snowboard... So today I drove my roomate to northstar, then came back to the house to hangout. It was a really nice day so I left the front door open. I was watching TV with my back to the door and I heard something upstairs... then, walking down the stairs. I thought.. is someone trying to steal from my house? because I was home alone. I Turned around and stood up from my chair and a bear came around the corner from up stairs and walked out the front door!! I was so startled and scared I ran to the front door and yelled at the bear " go home" I realized he was "home" in his enviorment and hoped no one heard me say that. I left my house in shock, incase there was another bear upstairs. I came back later with my roomate and the house was clear, Besides a few dirty paw prints on the steps.. please dont do that again bear!

Shitty Story #159: The TSA Incident

Ever have something stolen out of your checked baggage? I did, my fish eye lens, i got into anchorage, rummaging through my bag i could not find the lens, thinking i perhaps left it in Washington i just kept on rolling, of course it turns out i didn't forget it. Fast forward to today, in Seattle Airport again, Thinking it may be in the lost and found in the airpot, airport personal sent me on a wild goose chase to every different information desk trying to find it, pretty much every person was a butt hole and sent me on my marry way. RIP my lens.

Larry Sommers; The Man Behind the Voice

Larry Sommers was the man behind the voice in the opening animation to Think Thank's 2007-08' video "Thanks Brain!"  He passed away earlier this month unexpectedly from heart failure. We'd like to take a moment to pay our respects to a fallen friend; a true believer in grass roots movements, building from the bottom up, and supporting local artists.  Larry was the Printmaking Tech at the University of WA since 1985 and influenced many generations of aspiring young artists, including David Olsen co-animator of "Thunk", Todd Lown, the lead animator of "Thunk", "Cue the Birds!" and "Thanks Brain!", Christina Olsen Burtner the graphic designer for Think Thank, and countless others.

Bad News

I hurt my knee in Canada at the Shakedown. Today I finally went to the orthopeadic doctor, he told me I toar my ACL.  Looks like my season is over..... Hopefully I can get surgery soon and be back asap!

So I managed to find a way over to a tree while hitting a rail yesterday and stomached that guy while pretty much leveled out. Now im posted up at home with a few broken ribs. Spring has sprung...

and so has Gus's shovel.



Apparently Gus bought a shovel at the beginning of the season and managed to lose it shortly thereafter. Since then Gus "Arms" Engle has managed to escape the daunting task of helping shovel, that is until now. The snow has begun to melt and, Gus's shovel has magically appeared next to his backyard box setup. So, the next time you see Gus he may actually be helping the rest of us shovel.

Think Thank correspondent Chris Shepherd came face to face with the global phenomenon that is Gus Engle when he was traveling in Korea. These posters clearly depict Mr. Engle in his favorite "traveling hat". I guess Gus's harmonica career is really taking off, or maybe he just has a doppelganger on the other side of the land bridge.

Worst case scenario

Ever hear of a worst case scenario sunburn? Well this here is an example of just that. We told Tim that because we were in Alaska we were really close to the sun, but he didn't listen and his lips had an allergic reaction and swelled to ungodly proportions. They also blistered, puckered up and peeled apart to make this grotesque kissing face. Remember kids if you going to mess with the sun your gonna get the horns. Wait, if you want a good look at a T-bone you could stick your head up a bulls ass, but wouldn't you rather take the butcher's word for it? That's the one. Jesse
